Midweek events and Sunday 3rd April

Please take note that next Sunday (3rd April) we’re doing things differently! We won’t be having a meeting at 10am – instead we are having a bring and share fellowship lunch, so please come at 11:30am and bring something savoury or something for dessert.

Then, in the evening, we’re meeting again at 7pm to see Christian Voices perform their drama ‘Heart of Gold’, the story of Ruth. All donations given will go towards the ‘Snowflake Shelter’, the winter night shelter in Hastings.

Also, this coming week there are the following events in addition to the usual life groups meeting in homes:

  • Monday 11am: MOGS at the Northern Hotel, Sea Road
  • Tuesday 10am-12pm: coffee morning
  • Wednesday 7pm-8pm: prayer meeting
  • Friday 10am-12pm: coffee morning
  • Please note Sidley Tiddlers is closed over Easter and re-starts on Thursday 14 April.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23, ESV)

Church as normal this Sunday

Thanks to the South East Baptist Association, we have Rev Dennis Nolan coming to preach this Sunday at 10am, standing in for Dave while he’s off. So church is back ON tomorrow, look forward to seeing you there! 🙂

Change to Sunday services

Dear Church,

In the interim, as our pastor is ill (and please do not contact him as he is to have complete rest) and there are no elders, Church will be meeting in Life Groups and your leaders will advise as to where and what time you will be meeting.

If you are currently not in a Life Group, all will still be welcome to come to Church on Sunday from 10am to 11am to join with John Knight, one of our deacons, who will be there for a time of prayer and reflection. Anyone who is not in a life group will be welcome at church on Sunday morning; alternatively there are sign-up sheets on the table under the photographs on the noticeboard for anyone that would like to join an existing group – please fill in your name and a contact number.

Normal Life Group meetings will continue to be held in the week. There will be no Sunday evening soaking or morning breakfasts until further notice.

Please also note that the Kids Fun Club that meets on Tuesdays 4pm-5.30pm is cancelled until further notice.

Yours in Christ,
The Deacons
